If I ever get around to writing any, I will do so.

I'm still in the midst of the last Ciaphas Cain novel, but haven't worked on it since I got back from Seattle.

I did read the Darkblade collection that I got in its tiny paperback. Interesting stuff. Like to see a finish, though.

I need to check oot the Darkblade collection... it's in novel, not comic, form right?

Nope. Turned out it was just a collection of the 3 previously-released Darkblade comic collections. All in one book.

Neat, though.

Yup, and you can have books delievered to the nearest library from all over the county for pickup. For free, even.

Also, they have a decent dvd/tape selection.

Finished Abnet's Eisenhorn collected book last July, and started Ravenor... but... kept getting too busy to find time to just sit down and read the damn thing. I'm still on chapter 3 :(

crossing fingers for the next Ghosts novel, planning to pick up the 2nd Ravenor book, and wondering if Double Eagle is worth my time (heard it's... less than good).

uh... oh and still looking for McNeil's "Warriors of Ultramar", did that just have a sucky print run or what? cause i read Nightbringer a couple years ago... but could never find the next one. :\ now there's at least three i understand.

Sadly, I don't have any Black Library novels I haven't read already at the moment...but I'm eagerly awaiting 'Traitor General' and 'His Last Command', and they should be here by Monday.

Also, to the above poster, I really enjoyed Double Eagle. Being primarily air combat, it reads a little differently then Abnett's other works...but it certainly had the recongnizable Abnett style. If you're a fan of Abnett, I think it's worth picking up, especially now since its in paperback.

(And...new member here. So, hello all. I can't believe I didn't find this community sooner)

Hello and welcome!
:)

Double Eagle is -great-, and I believe it to be one of Abnett's best. My dad just read it and loved it, comparing it to reading about Korean air aces or the bio or Erich Hartman (German WW2 super-ace). I have used those comparisons too... but my dad's opinion shows that Abnett appeals to people not into 40k (all he's read before are the Gaunt's Ghosts novels).

I'm really diggin' the new Ravenor books too... I'm hoping The Abnett will write some more WH Fantasy.
