Let The Galaxy BURN!

Hey everyone! :)

Hope ye all are well...

Lots of cool stuff coming out of the Black Library. Finished up Horus Rising a while back... excellent stuff. Next BL book I plan on reading is Fell Cargo. However, I needed a wee break from all the Warhammery Goodness and have been reading the 2000AD novels from Black Flame.

Okay, so you Warhammer 40k nuts will love the Rogue Trooper, Nikolai Dante, Strontium Dog, Judge Dredd, ABC Warriors and Durham Red novels.
Trust me.
Espeically Rogue Trooper and Durham Red, Check them out... And some of the same writers that write for BL write the 2000AD books... like Gordon Rennie, for instance.
Speaking of 2000AD, the greatest comic in The Galaxy, if you are an earthlet who loves it, likes it, or wonders about it, come on over and join the 2000ad lj community I started. Discussion of things related or similar to stuff from 2000AD is welcome, too.

Okay, enough of the 2000AD banter. Let's see some more posts here or something!
:)

Oh yeah, let's keep that Galaxy burning, too.

<3 Horus Heresy

Horus Rising was fantastic, as was its followup False Gods.

I feel BL has really stepped up the ante with the Horus Heresy series. It's a level of epic storytelling that I've never seen in BL, and that's saying a lot, considering how much I love BL.

I don't know about anyone else, but I couldn't help but really liking Horus, despite what I knew would happen to him in the end. I think they've really zeroed in on how tragic the Heresy really is, and done a fantastic job (thus far) conveying the emotional impact of that tragedy. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Re: <3 Horus Heresy

Yeah, I think the whole point is for everyone to love Horus, just as he was loved by everyone that knew him and knew of him. That's what makes his falling/transformation into something awful to behold. I both look forward to it and dread it... It ought to be a good ride! :)
